Please join us for the 22nd Annual Golf Classic on June 5th, 2017 at Valencia Country Club. All information about participation and sponsorships can be found below. Funds raised go directly to sending underserved kids to Camp Bob Waldorf on the Max Straus Campus for Summer 2017.

The 18 Pockets of Joy Golf Tournament was created in loving memory of Dave Singer, who always said, “You came into the world alone, and you’re going out alone, but all the activity in between is creating memories, or ‘pockets of joy’.”

Supporting Camp Bob Waldorf

Each spring we host our annual golf tournament in support of Camp Bob Waldorf on the Max Straus Campus. Kids who attend our camp come from low-income families living in disadvantaged areas of Los Angeles. A 10-day session at camp is a transformative experience that greatly affects our camper’s self-esteem and character. The life lessons learned and relationships formed at Camp Bob Waldorf are invaluable and help our campers make positive choices instead of becoming involved in gangs, drugs, violence, and other destructive behaviors. It’s truly life changing.

Our camp provides children in need with:

  • Positive role models who believe in them
  • Three healthy and nutritious meals a day
  • The chance to play outside, learn about gardens, and try new things
  • New clothes and shoes when needed
  • Different opportunities to experience sports, arts, music, technology, and more

Your gift to the 2017 Golf Tournament will give a child in need a 10-day session at camp, a lifetime of friendships and memories, and, most importantly, hope. Please join us in providing underserved children and teens free summer camp experiences at Camp Bob Waldorf!
